Terms and conditions


All accommodation and pre ordered extras must be fully paid for at the time of reservation by provision of credit card details.

A booking confirmation email must be obtained. If a booking confirmation email is not obtained, the booking is not confirmed.

It is the responsibility of guests to review the booking confirmation email and advise The Ship Inn Stanley Team if there are any errors or misunderstandings.

By providing credit card details, guests warrant they have the authority to use the credit card and they authorise Ship Inn Stanley to charge the cost of their booking(s) and pre ordered extras to that credit card.

The liability of Ship Inn Stanley arising from any cancellations of accommodation or a third-party operator is limited to the amount paid for the cancelled booking.


Ship Inn Stanley does not accommodate children – if travelling with children, we suggest our delightful family cottage a few doors along, Little Talisker .


Following an inventory check of your booked suite(s) after guest check out, Ship Inn Stanley reserve the right to charge any items not paid for by the guest at the time of check out to the guaranteed credit card for that suite. This includes other items that may from time to time be for sale in each suite.


In the event of a booking cancellation, guests are entitled to a refund of their booking deposit UNLESS one of the following applies:

Where a booking is cancelled after 5pm 14 days prior to the arrival date, the booking will not be refunded. Exemptions include impacts of COVID-19 border closures,  other exemptions may be applied due to extenuating circumstances, this is at the discretion of the Ship Inn Stanley management.

No refund will be granted in the event a guest does not arrive for their booking or cancels on the date of their booking and the credit card associated with that booking will also be charged for balance of the booking.

A cancellation confirmation email must be obtained. If a cancellation confirmation email is not received, the booking remains in effect.


This is a non-smoking property and is strictly smoke free. If a guest smokes in their suite or a communal area a $250 fee may be charged for additional deep cleaning.


If guests lose the Ship Inn Stanley keys there is a $250 charge for key replacement and locksmith fees.
